Support Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital – Stroke Treatment Assistance for Vulnerable Populations
Description
Penang Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital officially joined MyStroke Hospital to provide testing and treatment for stroke patients, and ONE HOPE CHARITY will provide medical assistance to poor patients in terms of medical expenses and join hand with the professional medical team of the hospital to let stroke patients receive treatment within the golden window.
Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital has added a stroke emergency department, so once family members or people around you suspect a stroke, it is encouraged to send the patient directly to the hospital. The professional medical team will examine the patient and then treat the patient according to the situation.
Stroke patients only have a golden rescue period of 4.5 hours. If surgery is performed in time during this period, the chance of recovery will increase. Otherwise, if the golden period is missed, they will be paralyzed for life or even lose their lives.
ONE HOPE CHARITY were invited to attend the launch ceremony of Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital on Wednesday (September 28) afternoon. Chairman Dato' Chua Sui Hau said in his speech, ONE HOPE CHARITY has partnered with two hospitals under the MyStroke Hospital initiative, namely Hospital Seberang Jaya and Hospital Pengajar Universiti Putra Malaysia. This time, Kek Lok Si Hospital has been added.
"where hospitals can refer their stroke patients from poor and underprivileged families that are unable to afford the medical expenses but having the need for surgery (after examinations by the doctors) to ONE HOPE CHARITY for medical expenses aid. ONE HOPE CHARITY will also review the case in fastest time, so that the patients can receive treatment within the golden window."
He believes that the cooperation with Kek Lok Si Hospital and doctors will surely benefit more patients in need and help more stroke patients recover as soon as possible.
