Description

One Hope Charity has launched the “One Hope Philanthrokidz” initiative, distributing 30,000 colorful building block piggy banks to inspire primary school students to develop financial literacy and philanthropy. The goal is to encourage children to cultivate saving habits from a young age while planting seeds of kindness and charity, contributing to the betterment of society.

At the launch ceremony, Chairman Dato' Chua Sui Hau highlighted that the initiative aims to teach children the virtues of saving and giving back. One Hope Charity has also organized financial literacy seminars to help students build a strong foundation in financial management and social responsibility from an early age.

One Hope Charity has specially designed six different colors of the building block piggy banks, which students can assemble themselves. The first batch of 4,000 students from selected primary schools in the Central Seberang Perai district will benefit, with each student receiving three piggy banks for saving.

In addition, One Hope Charity has invited Dr. Kenneth Yew, a financial expert, to conduct financial literacy talks at several Chinese primary schools. The talks will teach students how to manage their pocket money, develop good habits of saving, spending, and sharing, and grasp basic financial concepts.

Interested students can also visit One Hope Charity’s service center to make a donation and receive one set of the colorful piggy banks. This initiative aims to encourage children to grow into future “Philanthrokidz” by saving and giving back, fostering a spirit of generosity and responsibility for the community.
