Urgent Fundraising – Syifaa Habibah (B-cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia)

Description
“That day, she just fell. We thought it was a simple bruise, but little did we know it was a warning of leukemia.”
Syifaa Habibah Binti Dzulikram, a 5-year-old girl from Sungai Mawar, Selangor, was once a lively, cheerful child who loved to laugh. Everything changed for her family in June this year after what seemed like an ordinary fall.
Initially, her family thought it was a minor injury. But over the following weeks, Syifaa began walking more slowly, her face turned pale, and bruises appeared on her ankles. On August 12, she suddenly could not walk, prompting her mother to rush her to the hospital emergency department. Multiple X-rays revealed no abnormalities, but her mother’s intuition led her to insist on a blood test.
The results were shocking: her red and white blood cell counts were severely abnormal, with 5% leukemia cells detected. The next day, Syifaa was urgently admitted to the hospital. A bone marrow biopsy confirmed the diagnosis: B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL).
Doctors immediately performed a blood exchange and started the first phase of chemotherapy. However, further genetic testing revealed two gene mutations that made high-intensity chemotherapy too risky for her. Doctors therefore recommended switching to immunotherapy, giving her the best chance of recovery.

Recently, Syifaa has been unable to eat due to severe mouth ulcers and has been fed via a nasogastric tube, relying solely on liquid nutrition. Her mother stays by her side day and night, watching over her child’s suffering.
Doctors have warned that without timely access to immunotherapy, the only option would be traditional chemotherapy—which carries very high risks for her condition. Her family is appealing to the public for support to ensure Syifaa receives the most suitable and safest treatment.
Her father, Dzulikram Bin MD Nasar (40), is a draughtsman earning RM3,900 per month, and her mother, Nik Hakimah Binti Nik Mohamed (40), is an architectural designer earning RM3,650 per month. To care for Syifaa, her mother has requested to work from home temporarily.
The family of five also has a mortgage and car loan, as well as three other children still in school. Despite their frugality, they cannot afford the full cost of the medication. They have managed to pay RM16,900 but still urgently need RM53,200 to cover the immunotherapy and continue treatment.
After home visits and verification, One Hope Charity has decided to launch a fundraising campaign for Syifaa Habibah’s medical expenses. For any inquiries, please contact our hotline: 04-539 9212, 016-4192 192, 019-2322 192, 018-911 4192.
