Urgent Fundraising – Nathalie Amanda (Heart Disease)

Description
“When the doctor told us that our baby had a congenital heart defect, we were devastated and heartbroken. But giving up was never an option. For the past month, she has fought bravely, and we have done everything we can to seek medical help, hoping she can undergo surgery as soon as possible.”
Baby Nathalie Amanda Anak Ningkan, just one month old and born in Sarawak, East Malaysia, was welcomed into the world with great anticipation by her parents. However, soon after birth, she was diagnosed with a severe heart condition. She now relies on oxygen support to survive, and her only hope is to be transferred urgently to a specialized hospital in West Malaysia for life-saving heart surgery.
With the overwhelming RM120,000 medical cost, her financially struggling parents are desperate and helpless. They are now turning to the public, hoping for kind-hearted individuals to help give their baby a fighting chance at life.
【For the Past Month, She Has Fought for Her Life—Now, a Lifesaving Surgery in West Malaysia Is Her Only Hope】
For ten months, her mother carefully carried her, eagerly awaiting the moment to welcome her into the world. Despite being diagnosed with a uterine fibroid during pregnancy, doctors assured her that it would not affect the baby’s growth. The pregnancy went smoothly, and the baby was born full-term. However, fate had a cruel twist for this newborn.
Just moments after birth, before her mother could even hold her properly, the baby was rushed to the intensive care unit due to severe breathing difficulties and dangerously low oxygen levels. Further medical examinations revealed a series of life-threatening congenital heart defects: Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Coarctation of the Aorta & Hypoplastic Aorta. Her condition is both complex and critical.
With limited medical resources in East Malaysia and a lack of pediatric cardiac specialists, there is no option but to transfer her to a specialized hospital in West Malaysia for urgent heart surgery. However, the RM120,000 surgical cost has placed an unbearable burden on this struggling family, pushing them into despair.
The baby’s parents are from the indigenous community in Sarawak and live in extreme poverty. Her father, Ningkan anak Dickie (36 years old), is from the Iban tribe and works in an oil palm plantation, earning only RM1,500 per month. Her mother, Norline anak Saban (38 years old), is from the Bidayuh tribe and previously worked as a factory operator. However, due to their daughter’s critical condition, she had to quit her job to be by her baby’s side, visiting the hospital daily to provide milk and care, praying that her little girl can hold on until the surgery.
After evaluation, the East Malaysia hospital has covered the flight expenses for the baby and her mother, while the father must pay for his own transportation and accommodation. One Hope Charity has stepped in to help raise the RM120,000 needed for the surgery and has allocated RM5,000 from "Emergency Medical & Contingency Reserve Fund" as an initial contribution.
The parents have entrusted One Hope Charity to manage the entire fundraising process. If you have any inquiries, please contact our hotline: 04-539 9212, 016-419 2192, 019-232 2192, 018-911 4192.
