Description

“Our baby showed no signs of cyanosis or any abnormalities during his first four months. It was a complete shock when the doctor suddenly diagnosed him with a congenital heart defect. Now, he is hospitalized and can only breathe with oxygen support. Without surgery, he won’t survive. We humbly ask for the public’s help to save our child.”

Nadhif Idlan bin Mohamad Iskandar, a 5-month-old baby boy from Kuala Kurau, Perak, has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect after showing signs of a sunken chest during breathing and cyanosis in his fingers, indicating oxygen deficiency. He has been hospitalized for over a month, relying on oxygen support to survive. His mother stays with him in the hospital day and night, exhausted in both body and mind, while the high cost of surgery leaves the parents feeling helpless. To ensure their son receives this critical surgery, they appeal for public donations to raise the remaining RM 67,000, hoping to give their child a chance at life.

【The baby boy currently exhibits cyanosis in his fingers, and his breathing is visibly labored with a sunken chest. If he is taken off oxygen support, the chest indentation will deepen, his breathing will become more rapid, and he will experience severe oxygen deprivation】

Nadhif Idlan bin Mohamad Iskandar, a 5-month-old baby boy from Kuala Kurau, Perak, is currently experiencing labored breathing, cyanosis in his fingers, and a visibly sunken chest. Without oxygen support, his breathing becomes even more rapid and strained, making immediate surgery essential to save his life.

Nadhif is the second child of his parents, born weighing 3.6 kg. Due to rapid breathing after birth, he was admitted to the NICU for observation but was discharged the following day. He continued to attend regular follow-ups, showing no signs of illness until, at four months old, he developed a cough. During a check-up, doctors detected a heart murmur and referred him to the general hospital, where he was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). He has since been hospitalized and relies on oxygen support.

Nadhif’s mother, Nur Nazirah binti Abdul Samat (26), was forced to leave her job as a factory operator to care for him full-time in the hospital. She is heartbroken, as her once-healthy child now faces a life-threatening condition.

His father, Mohamad Iskandar bin Zainol Abidin (26), is also a factory operator, earning a basic salary of only RM 1,500. With another two-year-old son, the family is in financial distress and can only afford RM 3,000 toward the surgery, which costs RM 67,000. They are appealing for public assistance to cover the remaining amount.

After a thorough assessment visit, ONE HOPE CHARITY has decided to help raise funds for Nadhif’s medical expenses. His parents have entrusted the fundraising entirely to ONE HOPE CHARITY, which will also manage the collection of donations. ONE HOPE CHARITY will provide RM 5,000 from its “Emergency Medical Reserve Fund” to support this case.
