Thaman A/L Lingam from Serdang, Kulim, Kedah was found to have cyanosis on his lips and fingers six hours after birth. It was diagnosed as cardiac stenosis and transposition of the great arteries, requiring surgery within two weeks, or his life will be in imminent danger.

He was only 2 months old when he underwent heart surgery, and he is now 7 months old. He recently visited our office with his parents to express their gratitude by  brought flowers and a thank you card, to thanks the public’s donations and blessings, which enabled the baby to successfully undergo surgery and grow up healthy.

Thaman was born with a severe and complex heart defect and was treated with oxygen support and antibiotics at Kulim Hospital. Due to the critical condition, he needs surgery within two weeks. After his condition stabilized, he was transferred to a specialist hospital on January 6th for heart surgery. He stayed in the intensive care unit for 8 days and was moved to a normal ward on January 14th. He was then transferred back to Kulim Hospital the next day and stayed there for a month for observation. He was discharged on February 15th.

The surgery cost of RM120,000 left the parents from the plantation helpless. Then, they applied for assistance from One Hope Charity. The required RM120,000 heart surgery fee for Thaman was raised within 8 hours, giving the parents hope and prompting them to fervently pray for their baby.
