58-year-old Low Kheow Khim passed away in a nursing home. Upon receiving the request to handle her funeral arrangements, One Hope Charity gathered donations from the community to provide her with a coffin, an urn, a columbarium niche, and to take care of all the funeral details, ensuring she could complete her final journey with dignity.

According to records from the Welfare Department, Low Kheow Khim had a difficult life. Twenty years ago, she left her home after being abused by her husband, which led to her developing a mental illness due to the trauma. After leaving, she wandered the streets, surviving by begging. Eventually, she was found unconscious due to weakness and was sent to the hospital by a passerby. With no family to claim her, the Welfare Department placed her in a nursing home where she received care for the remainder of her life.

We are grateful for the everyday acts of kindness from the community, which enabled our foundation to arrange her funeral, allowing her to complete her life journey with respect and dignity.

One Hope Charity has always provided coffins and funeral assistance to impoverished families. As long as the applicants meet the criteria, we take full responsibility for the funeral expenses, ensuring that families can peacefully send off their loved ones on their final journey.

#PromiseOfTheLastJourney

One Hope Charity promotes the "Promise of the last journey" care plan, allowing elderly individuals without family support to register in advance. This way, One Hope Charity can fulfill their funeral wishes after their passing.

Thanks to the regular donations from the public, the foundation can promptly assist more needy families and elderly individuals in handling their affairs after their passing. Those interested in contributing can donate at any time, as this support is ongoing to meet unforeseen needs.

Additionally, if there are impoverished families who cannot manage post-mortem arrangements for their deceased relatives or single elderly individuals who need pre-registration assistance, they can contact ONE HOPE CHARITY's hotline for help at 016-920 2920, 016-419 2192, or 04-539 9212.
