Chan Boon Huat, a 79-year-old man, passed away in the hospital with no one to claim his body. ONE HOPE CHARITY utilized public donations to provide him with a dignified funeral, including a coffin, urn, and columbarium niche.

According to hospital records, Chan lost the ability to care for himself years ago and was placed in a nursing home by his children, who rarely visited and left several months of unpaid nursing home fees. Chan was admitted to the hospital with a high fever and unfortunately passed away. Despite repeated notifications from the hospital morgue, his children refused to claim the body, leaving the nursing home responsible.

After receiving the request for assistance, ONE HOPE CHARITY mobilized donations to arrange for Chan's funeral and cremation, ensuring he had a respectful final journey. ONE HOPE CHARITY expresses gratitude to the public for their support, enabling them to assist more impoverished families and elderly individuals with end-of-life arrangements.

For those interested in donating, contributions are always welcome to support ongoing aid efforts. Additionally, families in need or elderly individuals without family support can contact ONE HOPE CHARITY for assistance at 016-920 2920, 016-419 2192, or 04-539 9212.
