Four-year-old Chloe Ooi Wan Xuan has been scheduled for an urgent surgery at the National Heart Institute on the morning of June 8. The operation will address her ventricular septal defect (VSD closure), perform a patent ductus arteriosus ligation (PDA ligation), and correct abnormalities in her heart structure and blood flow.

"At home, Chloe is active and can run and jump. However, during a recent check-up, we were shocked to learn her condition had worsened. We are grateful for everyone's donations and the timely surgery arranged by the hospital. We hope Chloe will grow up healthy and happy after the surgery."

With the required RM65,000 for the surgery raised within just two hours, Chloe's parents are deeply grateful to the kind-hearted individuals who contributed, giving their daughter a chance at life.

Originally from Penang's Nibong Tebal, Chloe, now residing in Johor with her parents, was first diagnosed with a heart defect at one year old after a visit to a clinic for a common cough. The doctor noticed an irregular heartbeat and referred her to a specialist hospital, where she was diagnosed with a heart defect. Recent tests revealed that Chloe also suffers from patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and double outlet right ventricle (DORV), necessitating immediate surgery.
